Exam Management in Schools

Exam Copy Checking

Subject Teachers get a bundle of copies to check and a marks list to fill.

Filling Marks List

Marks list has exam name (like Half-yearly exam) and class (like class-7) already written on the top. Below, it has 4 columns :- S. No., Student name, Roll No. and M.O. (marks obtained). Marks List of each class is photocopied from each other. S. No., student names and roll no. are already filled before giving it to the teacher. Teachers will fill the subject name and maximum marks at top of the mark list. Then, they will fill the marks obtained column after copy checking. If there is a student that is present in that class but not in that subject. They will simply cross that name off the list. Once completed they will hand over the list to class teachers.

Marks List of All Subjects

Class Teacher collects the marks list of all subjects.

Grade & Percentage Calculation

Grades, total marks, percentages etc. are calculated by class teacher using calculator or by computer operator using excel.

Report Card & Result Sheet

Class Teachers fills in the report card of each student. They also fill in the result sheet of their class. For C.B.S.E. schools this result sheet is generally called green sheet. While for M.P. Board schools it is called ‘Patrak’. Different state boards have different name for it.
